Tanking & Cellar Conversions
When an outside ground level is higher than the internal floor level lateral penetration of damp may start to occur.
This is a common occurrence within cellars and older below ground structures where no damp proof membrane has been installed.
CPS offer two methods of tanking basements and cellars.
Oldroyd & Vandex.
Oldroyd is a cavity drain membrane which allows the ground water to run freely but directs it to a sump pump via the membrane. This creates a dry surfaced, tanked environment within the room.
Vandex is a cementitious trowel applied tanking compound, which acts as a barrier preventing water from penetrating.
